New Years Eve 2009 was very low key around here. I am sure that many of you were like me, just glad to see this horrible year finally come to an end. But I am really psyched about 2010 and I believe that this will be a year when millions of Americans are going to pool their talents and energy and get America back on track. I think that there will be lots of little milestones that will be cause for celebration. So I thought it would be a great idea to plan a monthly virtual party night. I am purposing that we all gather here, on the last day of each month in 2010 and toast to all the CHANGES that were made. We can look back at each month and celebrate all the things that happened in the previous 30(ish) days. We can raise a glass of virtual Dom Perignon (unless someone has an American version that they recommend) and cheer all the little milestones that made us smile and gave us HOPE. We can bust out our finest caviar, lobster, and hot lava cake (remember it is virtual, so there is ZERO cost and ZERO calories). We can applaud each others efforts and make plans for the month ahead.
So lets set some goals for January. What CHANGES do you HOPE to be celebrating on January 31st, 2010?
The first thing that I would love to see is the meltdown of the whole global warming hoax. As I am sitting here freezing my a$$ off, and the forecast is for the coldest winter in decades, maybe it is time for the media to admit that we were had by a group of fascists who made billions promoting this nonsense. I hope Al Bore ends up in jail where he belongs. So as everyone shovels and shivers this month, let’s remind them that this is what we use to call
“winter weather”:

Any other suggestions?
2009 has been a year that many of us would like to forget, 2010 is shaping up to look like a year that will be exciting. This time last year, my stomach was in knots because I knew the kind of man BO was. This New Year’s Eve, as I look at the New Year, I am filled with belief. Belief in America and its current Patriots. The truth is coming out about the left and their agenda. America is waking up to the fact that it’s our turn to Fight for Freedom for our kids and grandkids.
Look at what 2009 brought. First of all, we have found each other. Through some gay guys who are Hillary supporters from Chicago, we have connected and formed an online family. This has been one of the things that I am most thankful for this year. Second, we’ve found our voice. We’ve gotten involved. We’ve become Patriots of action. I’ve never faxed my Congress Critters in my life, but I’m a pro now. I’ve been interested in politics all my life, but this year is when I’ve really become engaged. I’m looking forward to more local involvement in 2010.
While it’s looking up for 2010, we have lots of work to do. The first of which to get Scott Brown elected to the Senate in Mass. www.BrownForUsSenate.com Many of us are going to be phone banking for him. Here are a couple of videos to inspire us; and to help spread the word.
Happy New Year!
2009 was the year that HOPE changed and became unrecognizable. I use to love that word. It was such an optimistic communiqué that conjured up all variety of dreams. Just a whisper of this simple thought was like a one word prayer for tomorrow.
HOPE.
Then it was high-jacked by a political campaign. The word that once had the power to bring me out of the depths of despair ended up becoming as meaningless as the word beige. It got to the point that every time I even saw HOPE written anywhere, my only HOPE was that it would disappear. I became so offended by the sight of seeing HOPE emblazoned across that frightful likeness of the chosen ONE that I was even repulsed by this once gracious word. Over the holidays, whenever I saw it on Christmas decorations, I was saddened by the thought that the word was no longer part of the trilogy of Christian virtues, Faith, Hope and Charity, but was now simply a political statement. The thought of having the word anywhere near my Christmas tree made me cringe. It truly depressed me every time I saw Hope written anywhere this holiday season.
This word should not conjure melancholy. It should make one feel
HOPEFUL.
So I am thinking that we need to kick off the New Year by putting the HOPE back into HOPE. In many ways, 2010 holds a lot of promise. It has the potential to restore HOPE. It is a time when we could redefine the false hope of the false prophet and put this simple and heartening word back into the English language with the respect, reverie and optimism that it once defined.
What does HOPE mean to you for 2010? What are you hoping for and how do you plan to make it an unforgettable year? What do you HOPE will happen in the next 12 months so that next Christmas, we can all hang an ornament on our Christmas tree that says simply
HOPE.
Then we can stand back and say that 2010 was the year we rediscovered the true meaning of this very special word.
Oh, and while we are at it-
maybe
we should also go ahead and redefine
CHANGE
and
BELIEVE!
I
HOPE
You all have a Happy and Healthy New Year!
And I
BELIEVE
that
WE THE PEOPLE
are going to be the force for
CHANGE,
Version
2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you say?
